Gap Web Design publishes guides to website tools for readers in the United States and elsewhere. This policy explains what happens to information when you read this site, follow its links, or contact us.
Reading this site
You do not need an account to read our articles. We do not use advertising pixels, visitor analytics, session recordings, or tracking cookies. There are no signup forms, comments, on-site payments, or mailing lists.
Our site does not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
Hosting and page delivery
Cloudflare hosts and delivers this site. When you request a page, its systems receive technical information needed to serve and protect it, such as your IP address, the requested URL, and browser and connection details. We have not enabled application request logs or visitor analytics. Cloudflare may process service and security data under its own privacy policy.
Our pages also load the AMP page framework from cdn.ampproject.org. That request gives the delivery service your IP address and basic request details. A search engine or other platform may serve a cached copy of an AMP page under its own privacy policy. We do not add tracking to those pages.
Contacting us
Our contact address is hello@gapwebdesign.com. If you send an email, you choose what to share. Your message may include your name, email address, and other details. Please leave out passwords, payment details, and other sensitive information.
Any messages we receive are used to address the request and keep necessary correspondence. Email delivery providers also process messages. We do not use contact messages to build an advertising audience or send a newsletter.
Links to other websites
Articles link to product websites, help pages, and user discussions. Clicking a link takes you to a separate service. That service may use cookies, collect information, or ask you to create an account. Its policies apply there. We do not embed those services' tracking tools in our articles.
Editorial identity and AI assistance
Alex Morgan is the editorial pen name used by Gap Web Design. The author portrait is AI-generated. AI tools assist with research, writing, and artwork. First-person recommendations express editorial judgments; they do not imply hands-on tests or personal use. When an article discusses a user's experience, it attributes that account to its source.
Product names and logos identify the tools discussed. Their appearance does not mean that the companies endorse this site.
Affiliate links
There are no affiliate links at launch. If we add them, we may receive a commission when a reader follows a qualifying link and makes a purchase. We will identify affiliate links where they appear and update this policy before introducing them.
Keeping information
We keep correspondence only while needed to address a request, maintain necessary records, or meet legal duties. Hosting and email providers manage their own service records under their policies. No internet service can promise absolute security.
You may contact us to ask about information you have sent or request its correction or deletion. We may need to confirm that a request is yours. Some records may need to be kept where the law requires it.
Children
This site is intended for people choosing tools for websites and businesses. It is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it.
