The Intoxication III is located in the Hillsboro inlet in Pompano Beach, Florida. It's the best location in south Florida because it is centrally located between Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton. Our fishing fleet is literally in the inlet, unlike all the other fishing fleets which are well inland . It takes the other fishing fleets up to 30 minutes just to get to the ocean. At the Hillsboro inlet it takes just 5 minutes and we're in the ocean! This gives you and your party more fishing time and less travel time, and it makes a big difference in your trip. It's well worth the ten minute drive from either Boca or Fort Lauderdale to go out of the Hillsboro inlet. Keep that in mind when choosing your boat, location definitely makes a difference.

ABOUT THE FISHING

I've been charter fishing south Florida for over 20 years and I know these waters really well. Our trips usually start out trolling dead baits along the reef structure. This technique is great for catching king mackerel, wahoo, dolphin and sailfish.

As we move around and find were the fish are we may switch from trolling dead bait to using live baits.This technique is great. We use a fishing kite to suspend the baits on the top of the water and it really produces some big ones! Sailfish, dolphin and monster kingfish are just a few of the fish you can catch kite fishing off south Florida.

Another great way we fish is to fish around the many wrecks along the Florida coast. Dropping live baits down on these wrecks you'll catch large groupers, snappers and amberjacks that can get up to 100 lbs! They are great fighters and really pull hard! We are very successful using these methods and there are many different ways to fish the Florida coast.

Whether you want to fish for big game fish like sailfish or sharks or catch great eating fish like dolphin, wahoo, groupers and snappers, we can do it all on the Intoxication III charters!
